To the OP. I'm sorry but most of what you say is untrue. First, you can beat ifrit in crappy DZM gear so your whole thing about must have the best gear to do ifrit is wrong. Second, the only thing anyone should die from is plumes.. That's all, no excuses! I'm only saying this if you have no idea about how ifrit positioning works. Third, "we" are not all equal so why are you trying to make it seem like everyone has the same amount of skill. Those with better skill and more time to spend at this game will no doubt be rewarded better than those that are just not that great.

Lastly, the only problem that this game has at the moment with the current content is animation lock. However, if you're doing ifrit you should know better than to get into a animation you can't get out of when he is about to TP. Use common sense, it's not hard at all anymore. Enough with the whining and just practice more if you fail.

I say all this from doing over 100 ifrits.

Ifrit can be beaten the way the fight is now, just not easily and not without getting some blood on your nose first.
You would think that being that you have absolutely no end game experience of any kind. All you seem to do on Trabia is stand around Ul'dah and RP walk with your furry friends. If you even took part in the fight and beaten it you'd know that one wrist flick every 60 seconds wouldn't help very much at all.

Also, I'd like to agree with a lot of people in saying it's not that hard. Once you get used to the timing of skills and know placement it is ridiculously manageable. So, why would you believe that groups actually waste minutes of their time per fight farming weapons to lose healing or DD just for a 60 second wrist flick that ultimately doesn't really help you?

I haven't beaten Ifrit yet, but I don't think it is impossible. You won't really beat him until you've worked with the same exact party for a good while. That way everyone knows their role and where to stand and what to look for. Its still a very tough fight, and Jobs will make it much easier, but tactics will still be required.

Nahaara...have you fought Ifrit? If not, then what Bruce said is actually true. The fight is about positioning and knowing the timing of Ifrit's skills. No "exploit" as some people seem to be calling it, by using wristflick is going to help you. Also as others have said, the fight can be won by using crappy darkhold gear. We have seen a JP ls who essentially have a ton of weapons, use such crap gear time and time again. The only skill this fight requires is paying attention.

I have infact fought ifrit more than once, and yes it requires timing and what have you. But explain to me why I heard that was how everyone was beating Ifrit so easily with the method I just explained if that isn't even possible in the first place? Why would I even be bringing it up if I knew there was more to it than that?
