blackmages are the best for AOE not only do they do alot of damage but because of the way the class works they never have to worry about running out of resources either

Newbie here, how high/low are dragoons in dishing out aoe damage? They seem to have a decent kit, but I don't really have anything to compare it to (only really play dragoon)

I feel like SAM's AOE actually seems pretty damn strong.

Granted, I haven't started parsing again since the launch of 4.0 since I am afraid of how woefully inept the numbers will make me feel.

Isn't that damage chart just sheet dps on a dummy? I mean, that's irrelevant info if that's the case imo.

I'm honestly surprised nobody is mentioning Bard. With how foe works now, along with Mages Ballad giving us our old Rain of Death spam, we are sitting in a good place for burst aoe.

I'm honestly surprised nobody is mentioning Bard. With how foe works now, along with Mages Ballad giving us our old Rain of Death spam, we are sitting in a good place for burst aoe.

Bard eats away their tp so freaking fast, it's not even funny. Invigorate and the aoe TP ability aren't nearly enough to sustain aoe in, for example, a dungeon run. Also, mages ballad is only up ~1/3rd of the time and requires dots to reset RoD; paeon eats your TP even faster, and minuet is basically a single target damage increase.

Bard aoe is good, but it's not top tier, and especially not over even medium duration, let alone a chain pulling dungeon.
