Who would have thought diversity / role fulfillment and homogenization wouldn't go hand in hand? It was always so satisfying throwing up a shield, popping rouse and going to town on dps. It was fun managing the fairy and throwing out deployment tactics during stacks, even stacking a well timed virus and adlo for a buster. it's weird I dont mind the fluidity of not having to stance dance anymore but its just doesn't fill what I want anymore. The fairy also feels clunky and greatly less useful now. Coming from 2.x to 3.x SCH always felt great if not perfect. I've tried all the jobs short of DRK and MCH (now RDM and SAM) and I have found the only job I really enjoyed was SCH and due to this whole situation I am discouraged from jumping to another job that from past experience did not enjoy and dont feel I will now.

This is pretty apparent for the should healers dps debate, no matter what side you take you will never win, everything is your fault from either not healing to the parties liking (even though no one is dying) or not doing enough damage

Here's the thing. Healers should not, and never EVER should be REQUIRED to DPS, EVER.
The extra damage is nice, yes, but take your pick. We are not DPS. People grossly exaggerate the 'Stand and chill out'
thing too. I rarely seen healers in raids just STAND there, but you're right. No matter what you do, get yelled at.
I also blame SE for that, they have had those terrible DPS races that it was either Heal or DPS before enrage.
They also screwed us by giving 2 highly anticipated Jobs with no tank or heal in return.
Can't really blame them. Took an entire expansion to figure out AST and tanks needed help too.
So now the rest of you guys will have to wait the entire expansion for them to figure out what to do.
It sucks, really bad because these balancing patches aren't fast enough.


EDIT: Oh and also, DPS as a healer is garbo too, we all suffer MP problems so you won't see me DPS much anymore.
Not only can I not afford it, these mobs hurt where I'm popping every cooldown. [1st two dungeons that I've done anyway.]
DPS itself is sucky and spells eat up MP like candy and I can't have Shroud Aether Luminous Dream thing CD up fast enough.

What healer are you? As a WHM I can do a lot of damage (for a healer) and we really do have a lot of mana tools in SB. It helps cope with the fact lilies are pretty but useless.

True but it all falls into ur hand wether or not you want to participate to kill adds quickly.

What i noticed about WHM in SB. They barely suffer MP at all. with thin air and shorter assize that deals dmg and heal all party member nearby with short cd. We r golden.

What's happenning with healers ?

can't find any healers to do ex trials, all pf looking for healers only!

healers have gone from the game ? if we have a huge lack of heals now how we gonna play the game ? x)

I can only speak for myself.... after all the threads on the forums drilling into healers, I went into SB with the mindset of 'PUG as little as possible' and DPS I know are very easy to find. If people want to constantly reinforce how little they appreciate healers filling their actual role, they can wait in queue for someone willing to deal with their attitude.

We all do. That's one thing I wished they kept for at least WHM.
And to your other question, And I'm AST, so I guess I need to pray I get Ewer lol.
I know SCH may have it harder though.
You guys have Thin Air so that helps a lot too.
Dunno what they were thinking with the Lilies though.
