Anybody with eyes, you mean? AOE damage spells aren't subtle. Are you letting people die? If so than you aren't doing your job and should focus more on healing.
Is everyone surviving and doing a good job? Then tell the dps to stop watching you and go back to doing damage. Seriously what pos dps can notice a healer doing damage when the boss is covered in a million other explosions and spell effects.
Edit: Ears are good too. the Stone sound effects in particular you can hear wooshing by as they are being spammed.

Yeah I mean I asked my friend for advice (he's gotten 90th+ percentile in Zurvan EX on both WHM and AST with pugs) so it's not like I'm just trying to let people die. I'm working to adapt to it. I fit what DPS I can in while making sure the party stays alive.People are used to running content while drastically overgeared for it, and now they're presented with new content they don't have that advantage on. So everyone's feeling a bit squishier than they're used to and may need the healer to focus on their real job a bit more than they used to have to. It's only an issue if people fail to adapt to that difference.
like my best advice for healers who are still working out how to handle big pulls is to go into a big pull with lagrasse and prescence of mind active, get regen and asylum up when the tank's hp is near full(even if it's immidiately after a cure II which will put his hp there) then you can cure II->holy->aero III->holy usually and kinda follow the same pattern as the situation changes, back to back holy's won't stun lock btw you'll have to delay them, that's why i normally fit aero III between the first and second holy if the situation allows
after the second or third holy though the mob will have built a large enough resistance that anymore holy's will only add dps to the table and won't really help the tank's survivability
the resistance lasts for 1m iirc if a pull should go that long which they shouldn't normally
Healer dps took a big hit in SB... I can't speak for SCH or WHM, but having leveled AST it takes forever to kill anything, plus doing too much dps kills my mana now, unlike in HW.

WHM stole everyone's boom. Instead of giving us party buffs they gave us dps and mana. Except right now nobody actually wants us to dps so your milage may vary.
It may be the final trial gives people the excuse to be honest as it requires attentive healing.
Many people I know privately dislike healing dps but publicly stay with the crowd. Since the crowd's stance has weakened, people feel braver in admitting what they thought all along. After that the crowd follows and it continues the cycle.
One thing our community in general needs to learn is a vocal forum segment doesn't mean they reflect the majority. Based on the forum threads over the past months you would think people were being kicked left, right, and center, however that doesn't reflect the actuality in game. With that said SB, after the first 2 dungeons, does ramp up in healing required.... which I appreciate. I think most healers would say they chose the job because they want to heal.It may be the final trial gives people the excuse to be honest as it requires attentive healing.

I have not seen to many people complaining when I DPS. Its fun balancing the healing to dps ratio now but the DPS doesn't feel as fun. The whole reason I enjoyed SCH was adequate heals + mitigation and good dps. Now it feels like I have neither and that's coming from i306.
I did get kicked from a party in HW for not standing around and waiting to heal a few times though which made no sense. I feel id be much happier with my HW toolkit back and just have the new dungeons and story.
The nerfs to healers in general, makes them a very poor choice to consider to dps with in their current state...

excuse you, I cant speak for SCH but my AST and WHM still manage to dish out significant amounts of damage.
Also, I can definitely tell that with better gear, its already working much better once again. Still gotta heal quite a bit but I make use of every kind of cooldown and utility that I have, so
that I can still manage to throw out some decent dps.
My WHM in lvl gear still manages to do 20-25% of the overall party dps. So yeah. No. Theyre far from being a poor choice.
The roles have always performed their role first and foremost. Healers and tanks should both be able to do decent dps or theres no way to convince people to play them, who wants to play a class which is painful to solo with? DPS should never be doing more than 3 times the dps of the tank or healer, it leads to awful imbalance.
