What should I do with Thunder procs on fire phase? Do I replace a Fire IV for a thunder right aways?
I use T3P once per astral/umbral phase. During astral phase I use it after an F1 while in umbral I use it before/after foul (mana tick will dictate). Although sometimes you'll end up having to use the proc at odd times, the rule of 1 T3P per AF/UI still works.
Depends on if the target is going to die soon or not. Iirc thunder 3 proc is 320 potency or 390 (dunno if the 70 potency application is also applied to the total damage applied) + 320 DoT so itd need to hit and tick for 15s to beat fire 4s potenc or get to 9s remaining to win and be a profit gain.
If the mob/survives for the full duration or at least 15s yes use it, if not dont.
In an aoe situation id just say spam it if you see it tbh.

Thanks for the answers.
So how is the rotation for lv 70?
Im doing Thunder 3 > Ley Lines > blizzard I > Enochian > Blizzard IV > Fire III > Sharpcast > Fire IV x4 > Fire I > Fire IV x3 > Fire III > Blizzard III
Try (swift)b3-(laylines)-enoch (to boost t3)-t3-b4-f3-triple-f4-sharp-f4-f4-f1-f4-f4-f4-f3p-convert-f4-f4-b3-t3-foul-b4-f3
If converts down or just a general rotation
B3-enoch-t3-b4-f3-f4-f4-f4-f1-f4-f4-f4-(f3p)-b3-t3-foul-b4-f3.
If anything causes your foul to lapse into fire phase you can trade a f4 for foul or hold until UI but only for at most 27 seconds or foul will lapse during the cast resulting in a lost foul.

Nice, I forgot about the 5% boost from enochian. But triplecast with Ley Lines it is not redudant? Because Fire IV with Ley is under 2.5 second cast. It is not better to triple cast after the first F1? Or even after convert?Try (swift)b3-(laylines)-enoch (to boost t3)-t3-b4-f3-triple-f4-sharp-f4-f4-f1-f4-f4-f4-f3p-convert-f4-f4-b3-t3-foul-b4-f3

Ty for the tips.
You can but triple will forcibly meet leylines at its fastest 1.90-2.0 recast so all fire 4s will save almost 1 second each cast by comparison or effectively push you ahead. Plus your leylines will last long enough to get through a majority of your opener. By the time you rotate them youll be at the end of your fire phase.
Triple by itself my recast is 2.34 so thats triples fastest application
Leylines alone my cast is 2.5 and recast is 1.90- 2.0.
Triple on leylines and my recast is 1.90 so my fire 4s are as well.

I see, that makes sense. Sorry for my newbie questions.
One last question, since I'm a gamepad user is there a way to do an Aeterial manipulation macro to auto-target a party member? If so, please tell how to do.
No idea ive just always tapped down on the dpad to a dps/healer and manually used it.
I'm not 70 on my BLM yet but still I been trying a couple of Blizz3 openers vs Fire openers.
The results I got is that even though 8 fire IVs with the blizz 3 opener looks good on screen, my opener DPS was still lower than the old sharpcast opener where you start with Fire right off the bat. Maybe wasting 2-3 GCDs setting up Umbral Hearts is not worth the two extra Fire IVs? Not sure yet.
Anyone having similar results to share?
