They were originally going to be more then 999 gil so they already lowered them for us doing hunts you get tons of allied seals I have over 2k free teleports at the momentI noticed the cost of teleports are 999 when you go from Eorzea to Othard or the other way Othard to Eorzea. This might not seem like much but it adds up fast if you are doing hunts.
Is there any plan to lower teleport prices because seeing 999 for many teleports makes it so expensive.
Non aetherial wheel FC buff brings it down by 30% to 699 for price capped ones if you have fc buffs to use.
Could be worse, could be paying more as it seems to max at 999. But I doubt they'll lower it so if you're going to jump back to an isle to Eorzea take a boat or airship.I noticed the cost of teleports are 999 when you go from Eorzea to Othard or the other way Othard to Eorzea. I mean, you do kind of travel from one side of the continent to another, so naturally the cost will be substantial.
You can always ask for a TP cost reduction buff from the FC, or use aetherite tickets. Still got 100 of em from promos.
Set your home point to Rhalgr's Reach or Kugane, and then use the Free Destination on the other one. Those two points are going to be the ones you teleport to the most for a lot of things, and teleporting to either will cut the cost of the outlying areas by a huge amount.
This game needs more gil sinks.
You're literally teleporting to another continenet.
What did you expect
Or you know, boats, ferries, hop to apartment or fc house then go where you want. There are ways around it. I think it's fine. :/
Yoshi-p already mentioned this a couple of months ago:
Source: HereGameWatch: When looking at the map, the continent that will be implemented in 4.0 has much more surface area than Aldenard. Does that mean that the combined surface area of all the newly implemented areas will be comparable to the surface area of Ishgard and ARR areas combined? Also, will we freely be able to teleport between the continents?
Yoshida: The combined surface area will be about the same as that of Heavensward, but there will be diving and swimming and there are still unannounced areas, so the scale is quite big. And of course, you’ll be able to teleport. But, watch out for the teleport costs… (laugh)
And the costs were mentioned here:

Yes, it sucks, but it's not *that* much either. We got plenty of ways to make gil even if you're not a crafter.
Funnily enough I think teleports/repairs should be more expensive. So much money in the economy because there isn't much of a sink. Imagine if those tank bonuses for queues could actually buy you something worth a damn BEFORE running it 100 times.
You actually forgot to mention that they made it so Housing Teleports are "Super Favored" and are capped at 249gil. So if you want to get back and forth cheaply, Use your FC house teleport and run to town. Get a friend with a house in a zone your house isn't. Makes things much cheaper. Buy tele'ing to your house and then out, you will shed less than 499 on most tele's even without Favored.IIRC 999gil is the max allowed for teleportation costs. Also, you can register favored destinations and a return point, or as others have suggested Aetheryte tickets from hunt seals.
Also, your FC could use a company action to get you a discount as well.
I actually view the cost as a convenience cost anyway since you can travel my land and sea, or air to most places for much less, but at the cost of time. The limit of 999gil even caps the cost.
I'd rather be in Zitah
