Teleport prices are too exensive

I noticed the cost of teleports are 999 when you go from Eorzea to Othard or the other way Othard to Eorzea. This might not seem like much but it adds up fast if you are doing hunts.

Is there any plan to lower teleport prices because seeing 999 for many teleports makes it so expensive.

IIRC 999gil is the max allowed for teleportation costs. Also, you can register favored destinations and a return point, or as others have suggested Aetheryte tickets from hunt seals.

Also, your FC could use a company action to get you a discount as well.

I actually view the cost as a convenience cost anyway since you can travel my land and sea, or air to most places for much less, but at the cost of time. The limit of 999gil even caps the cost.

You actually forgot to mention that they made it so Housing Teleports are "Super Favored" and are capped at 249gil. So if you want to get back and forth cheaply, Use your FC house teleport and run to town. Get a friend with a house in a zone your house isn't. Makes things much cheaper. Buy tele'ing to your house and then out, you will shed less than 499 on most tele's even without Favored.

And use return when you need to leave Kugane. If return is down, then as Krojack said teleport to your house/FC house/Apartment. If you have a house strategize a bit, for instance my house is in Lavender beds (cheap teleport), return is set to Ul'dah (free teleport), and FC house is in Mists (cheap teleport), and if you don't have a house I think you can still teleport to an apartment. Speaking of FC's I believe there's an active buff that reduces teleport costs, talk to your FC about having it up more often.

Moreover, 999 gil is nothing. As someone that does not craft and very rarely ever gathers, I'm sitting on 21 mil with a medium house. Earning gil in this game is not as hard as people make it out to be.

I'm sort of the opposite. Free is in Mor Dona, my return is in Kugane and my apartment is Shirogane.

I don't personally find the prices too high, but I wouldn't complain if they lowered them.

Atomos hoodwinked us so hard. He was all like "let me make them believe by destroying my clones that they're defending their crystals, I'll even give them "free" anima to teleport with" each time we struck him down he just implanted himself deeper into the crystals, and now he's been able to extort the GC for gil to keep them operating, he's now richer than Godbert!!!

The maintenance cost is a sham, fight back sheeple! :3

(Made that up of course, well except the killing Atomos at crystals and getting anima - good times).

On point of the thread, gil costs are not bad if you can get your FC/House/Appartment, Free Teleport, Return, and Favored(s) in a good spot. I don't think I spend more than 250 except when I'm lazy to port to a closer free place first.. which unfortunately happens more than it should lol.
