I can only agree with this - when housing was release it was a HUGE gil-sink. Me and a friend crafted constantly for two months (by that I mean: 7-8 hours a day) to earn enough gil for our medium FC-home. Back then you were lucky to sell items for 30k, you were happy with 15k! Expensive gear sold for like 200k and was a major risk to take on... but now inflation has hit every server - housing prices need to go UP, not down.
Yeah, but housing isnt accessible - because there arent enough houses in the first place. And it was never truely meant to be accessible either or they would have set it up differently in the first place. It was meant as a gil-sink and something an FC could work on together. Opening it up for "private" people was the first mistake, keeping the prices at a level that everyone could theoritically afford a house in a system that cant provied everyone with one, the second.
(You also dont need even close to 200 million for a house - mansions are at around 60 million or so now, small homes are down to 3 or 4 million! Even without crafting you can get that kind of money!)

considering that some people do not have a high enough retainer level yet, or in an active FC, to get the RNG based resources they want, im sure they are spending most of their gil on items from the Marketboard so that they can level their crafting.

The reason we have housing shortages is because one person can buy multiple with alts, one FC and one personal per character. It SHOULD be one house per account, not character, with houses account wide.

Or at the very least one house per server. The only problem is that dummy Free Companies can still dodge this restriction. I know people use Dummy FCs because I know an FC that owned 6-8 houses in the Beds or Goblet, each of them owned by a 3-4 man FC with the same tag and similar name as the original FC.
Hold on. I can get behind one personal house per account/server shared by all characters on that account/server. However Free Company Masters who 'own' the FC house should not be penalized, they should be able to own an FC house and a personal house. I can support the restriction to account/server, so long as the exception is also made for FC Masters, otherwise it's unfairly penalizing FC masters.

Wow, no. The reason why there is a shortage is because on most servers the player population is immensely significantly higher than the amount of houses. On most servers the amount of fcs is far higher than the amount of houses.
Additionally most people who have been playing for many years have enough to buy a house simply because they have had more time to accumulate gil and more time to lvl up crafters/gatherers to bring in even more gil.
Really I'd rather we have all plots full because players can afford them, than have a load of empty plots because the housing cost is too unrealistic for most players to achieve.
As for teleport fees, if spending a few thousand a day on teleports is too much at lvl 70 then you need to reexamine your income because that shouldn't be happening. You don't even need to lvl up crafting/gathering to fund it. Having combat class retainers fetch you items and then sell them is more than enough to support teleporting.
If we had higher costs for things I'd never afford anything. You rich folks need to understand not everyone has more than a million gil at any one time, I certainly don't.

You are teleporting a vast distance. If you are level 60+ and still can't afford these teleport prices maybe you need to reevaluate how you acquire/spend Gil. The prices are fine as is. I'd personally say to raise them.
