    Square's Dev. team has mention some thing about the armor in general. Their response initially was that they wanted the armor to carry a certain look and to be true to the designers eyes. They also delve deeper about how they were against secondary dye since it did not go well in certain lights, causing the armor to look bad.

    Yet there are dyable armors that got a unique look when not dyed...
