I was reading this then i got bored of the whining. If anyone else has beat it multiple times, it can be beat so quit whining.

Morticous - Senior admin of.... well of nothing. (cool picture here)
hard content is not new to FF14 its been in ever MMO you care to mention, its the same as life there is stuff that one person can do that another can't. that it baby get over it. and it snoly only the ppl that have beat ifrit that dont want them to make it easy. they will nerf it in time so why rush it, if you don't like to be challenged, watch a dvdOP is right though and non surprisingly people who beat Ifrit swarmed him and called him a gimp.
This fight will create a whole bunch of resentment in current community.
You can argue all you want but the Ifrit fight is too difficult for current state of the game.
If the game had 6-8 raids, maybe a empire battle content, or atleast some cool stuff people can work on it would be different. However, it does not and 1st cool fight the game gets is something vast majority cant beat.
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
ok let us stick a target in raid 45/ifrit battle that is a bright an green as an arrow from the game The Sims and points to tell you where to stand, and how to adjust, and a tutorial on staying alive in both battles.Actually, it can. Stress actually makes it harder for me to memorize things.
Am I asking to be spoon-fed the highest-difficulty fight? No. I'm simply asking for a learning curve in the fight that will allow me to memorize the circumstances without being stressed so much. When I was doing Dzemael Darkhold, sometimes, I would forget where I was supposed to stand when fighting the Ogre. Behind? To the side? In front? Derp?
Seriously. I hate it when people think everybody has a perfect memory and has the ability to be just as skilled as they are...
There you go then you do not have to worry about being spoon fed tough content, since you bought it back to zero with spoon feeding.
There is a perfectly stress free option to learn the fight, it's called Youtube. You claim you can't even memorize it then as well, perhaps you need to accept your just not cut out for content that has a even remote difficulty requirement.
You have created multiple threads about how this game is "Stress" inducing to no end, perhaps you need to pick up another hobby if you don't have the time or mental fortitude to play this MMO. There are plenty of other MMO's out on the market, many of wich follow your ideals, why not support them instead of trying to blindly bash you head against the wall in this game.
You have gone beyond mere suggestions to flat out insults to the developers, not everyone is going to catter to your exact whims and fancies. Suggesting a idea is one thing, forcing it onto others is another thing entirely.
Suggest your idea and let the conversation grow from there, don't crutch on your own personal issues to expand on the arguement. Your only argument is that you and your group can't seem to beat the battle despite all the tools and options available to you to learn the fight.
Not only is the fight have no re-entry requirement, you don't lose a damn thing when you die (Durabillity oh nos). As it stands SE has gone leaps and bounds to make the fight pretty damn easy to engage, it's not their fault that the community decides to popularize the easiest setup, nor is it their fault you are unable to do what a majority of players can LEARN.
Oh wow in every MMO? No way. Completely missed the point. Like Feral said there needs to be a learning curve. There is a place and time for difficult content, I played my share of MMOs to know that. However, dropping this type of a fight in a game that desperately needs content everyone can enjoy isnt the best way to retain players.hard content is not new to FF14 its been in ever MMO you care to mention, its the same as life there is stuff that one person can do that another can't. that it baby get over it. and it snoly only the ppl that have beat ifrit that dont want them to make it easy. they will nerf it in time so why rush it, if you don't like to be challenged, watch a dvd
if you cant get past 50%, good luck trying the post hellfire part of the fight. hell, all it takes to bring him to phase 3 is damage, you dont even have to run from the eruptions, just sentinel them.
Hello? This is like the 5th thread you make whining that Ifrit is too hard and "your friends" get nervous or something.
I really think you should play Wow.
The fight also looks pretty snooze overall. I haven't done it myself yet but I mean come on, anyone with eyes can see the biggest challenge is finding 8 people with sentinel.
Oh, and being rooted every 3 seconds. Hey thats a good idea, just have all bosses root everyone to the ground and call it a fight mechanic, problem solved.
Anyone that's done hardmode progression in WoW will barrel through a fight like this in no time.
Neither is it my fault when everybody jumps on me because I can't recall things easily under pressure. I don't care if people call me names, call me gimped, or even call me a f*cking utterly stupid retard. I don't care what people think of me. What I care about is whether or not players like me have the option to ADJUST THE GODDAMN DIFFICULTY so they don't end up feeling upset at the end of an unsuccessful night. There is a perfectly stress free option to learn the fight, it's called Youtube. See, this is another example of bad design. Requiring players to have a specific skillset because of a dominant strategy, is another problem. WHat if you had a full party of 8 players who are straight pure classes, with no skills from other classes? The fight also looks pretty snooze overall. You're screwed then. How are you going to beat Ifrit? OH wait, you can't.
A lot of people who do not have the time to be running everywhere in FFXIV, will probably have one or two 50's leveled. That usually won't be enough to ensure full survival with Ifrit in the current state.
