DRG 70: Dragon Sound

I seem to be completely stuck on this quest, and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do.

Immediately after using Comet, Faunehm will cast Chaotic Verse, giving you a debuff called Enamation that reduces your damage done and increases your damage taken. This causes Faunehm to deal more than double his normal damage against you, with his melee hits hitting for over 3000 damage and his Dark Star ability hitting for more than 8000! Combined with your reduced damage, this essentially makes Faunehm unbeatable.

Is there anything I'm missing here? I've tried every option I could think of, but nothing seems to work. Standing at a distance doesn't work, standing in melee range doesn't work, stunning doesn't work, using Diversion to keep the aggro on Estinien doesn't work, tanking the Comet ability doesn't work, and standing still and letting the dragon hit me while Estinien supposedly uses some ability doesn't work either. How am I supposed to beat him like this?

Use Elusive Jump.

It should bounce the aggro back to Estinien, after which you can move to the little Dragon for healing.

That doesn't work. Estinien loses all of his aggro once he is knocked back, and the little dragon does nothing but just fly there during the entire encounter.

Estinien also keeps shouting "Distract him while I go in for another attack!" only to not use any special abilities whatsoever. I have a feeling this encounter is just broken. I assume he's supposed to use Nastrond or something to defeat Faunehm, but nothing happens.

Orn Khai will say : "Come to me for healing!" between the Estinien's spam. I didn't see the text bubble after like three wipes because even with two Elusive Jumps, Estinien couldn't retake aggro...and then you take too much damage.

So just look at the little dragon and go to him.

Nope, this does not happen either. The last thing he says is "I'm almost ready to unleash my roar", and then he proceeds to do completely nothing. I've tried staying right next to him for the entire encounter, but nothing happens.

Is there any legitimate advice to beating this encounter? I feel like I'm either being lied to, or this quest is completely broken.

Well, I don't know how or why, but on my 8th attempt the encounter finally worked properly. It just looks like the encounter has a very high chance of bugging out.

I'll make a note of it in the In-Game Bugs section. Thanks for the help.

I failed on my first attempt as well, then i decided to try elusive jump after chaotic verse and the aggro went to Estinien on my 2nd attempt. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The little dragon doesn't heal anything. Tried this 5 times and no heals at all. Elusive jump doesn't seem to do anything either.

Frustrating.

Scratch that. 6th attempt Elusive Jump worked and only after that did the little dragon heal me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had to attempt this one several times before the Elusive Jump did the trick. The time it took, I was trying to copy Estinien and landed right next to Orn Khai, but I can't be sure that counts for anything.

His Elusive Super Jump might be a bit OP next to ours, right along with his ground-effect Dragonfire Dive and his actually being able to jump to high places.
