    And God forbid they're actually allowed to feel pride in the accomplishments that took so much work to achieve.
    Animation lag is certainly an issue, but for now it's something everyone has to deal with, cores included. It's good that Ifrit's incredibly hard, he's an ancient god, and core's are bored with all this easy stuff any old Joe can do they want something worth the card work and dedication that goes into hardcore playing. This includes the high risk of materia and the task of finding equipment useful for the battle. Certain classes will always be better suited for certain situations, that's why we can change classes whenever we want, they don't have to be so balanced that they can all do the same basic task of defeating all foes with equal probability.

    The only real issue that needs fixing is the animation lag, because it actually disrupts the way the game is supposed to be played intentionally. And all that aside, from what I hear, the Hyper Ifrit battle isn't even that hard. (I haven't gotten to it myself though so I can only speak from second hand experience.)

    So you want to kill an easier ifrit and get no drops so you can say you killed an easier ifrit? Just tell everyone you killed the level 25 one then.

    Well...you know: Some people have mentioned reading the battle log to avoid certain attacks...The issue with this is that the OP and players like him/her can't read the log due to a large amount of salty water in their eyes that forms drops that stream down their face. SE seriously needs to not only make this content easier for them- SE should also supply them with their very own tear clearing dev. One that gives them a pat on the back whenever they beat the stupid easy content they are demanding in spite of the fact that the current difficulty is perfectly fine.

    Otherwise this game will surely fail without them.

    Yeah, but what's the point of going out of your way to design every encounter three different ways when one way is good enough for the majority of the playerbase? MMO's don't need to be inclusive to every type of gamer. That's why there are a ton of them on the market. If one doesn't meet your needs, then you can go find one that does instead of insisting the developers do a bunch of extra work just to appease your tastes.

    You obviously didn't read my statement earlier in the thread that the R25 Ifrit does not count, right? It's a quest fight, not an actual endgame fight. Get out!
