I had a tank at 56 and stopped cause DPSing is more for me. Monk is me. But After getting it to 70 I'm going back to DRK and I feel weaker and it's even MORE scary to try. I'm currently 57 and I kindof don't want to continue but que times are pissing me off on dps. T.T what to do.

I'm only 66 on DRK, and thus far compared to its 3.0 version it feels... very boring... to the point where it just feels braindead. Haven't had issues with enmity except with low level dungeons though. Have been able to stance dance an ok amount without enmity issues. I've been leveling a dps along with it though, to both keep the monotony of DRK at bay, and also consider swapping my main to it if I continue finding it not fun. AoE with DRK feels considerably less smooth than what it was, mostly due to both the Dark Passenger and Blood Price nerfs. Single target is ok, i guess, just boring. Also, seems like there's basically no utility to DRK? I'm still unsure why one would bring a DRK to a raid over either WAR or PLD.

Do not let any attachment to life cause you fear. Do not let fear of the end lessen your pace. Do not repent for anything! Should you ever doubt the path you have chosen, look at your blade and ask yourself this: does it glow with true darkness?

While I was disappointed with how much sustain they removed from the WAR in 4.0, I will say the changes in damage output being increased was quite nice. I'm still figuring out a good rotation and 5 abilities that would be best used as a Tank. I'm still planning to take my WAR to 70 before running as anything else. Queue times are quite nice still for Tanks.

What 5 abilities would you take as a tank?

    I took the following:
    Convalescence (necessary)
    Rampart (necessary)
    Low Blow (necessary)
Provoke (can be switched with Ultimatum)
Awareness (while you can use Reprisal for boss fights that have tank busters or stack damage, I feel there's no need for Anticipation when you have Raw Intuition)

As a 65 DRK, its boring, unfun and overly easy to the point of not feeling like the other classes in this game. I feel like the game, as soon as I pick a tank class, assumes I ll have 1/3 the IQ and gaming skill.

Main SAM now, because thats actually a busy class where I am expected to play, not just be around.

lvl 70 DRK, i love it a lot, it was a bit hard at the begining due how i get used in 3.x but after a few dungeons and fight against susano extreme i really love the changes, still have the busy gameplay and now adds more strategic utility with TBN with i love use it to support my co-tank or any party member and get rewarded for it.

the most important change i apreciated is the total control of my MP in grit, feels awesome dont depend of blood price, yeah the return of BP now sucks a bit but looking all the SE changes in the past in dungeons it was obvious they go to nerf our god mode in mass pulling and im ok, now dungeons are more challenging and the adds hits more harder, SE really improve tanking experience for me, i dont go to miss the 3.x status.

Having TBN makes AoE packs a little more fun. You can get the 50 blood instantly. Combine that with Blood Price + Abyssal Drain and you can cap 100 blood very quickly. Once I get the cap I can do two DA Quietus back to back. Not too shabby. Seeing 9k Bloodspiller crits is quite nice as well.

Haven't experienced level 70 yet to judge the threat issues, but I'm actually enjoying paladin for the first time in a long time. I definitely have to work for threat and balance between dps combos and threat combos. Hell I pull bosses in sword oath now because it's fun not having a lock on threat like I did in heavensward.

Pld has a ridiculous amount of tools and feels very potent. It's not boring at all anymore. I just treat shield oath like a last resort cd, or to tank trash pulls. Boring as always on trash, but I have a lot of fun tanking bosses.

I don't mind it as a dark knight but it does feel like there's a lot of QoL changes the job needs outside of standard balancing (ie most requested idea is making the blood gauge skills ocd). Also I do need to use the enmity combo more than I have before if I drop grit, but it's nothing unmanageable, compared to HW it feels like half the enmity I used to do.

Using bloodspiller doesn't feel better than C&S, and if they make it oCD it literally is just C&S on a meter. I think it should give you something to make using it significant, maybe a short buff (ie. Enmity gain, mana etc) if not oCD. Carve and Spit is a multi-utility skill (mana for AoE, damage for single), yet close enough to BS's damage that I may as well have a CD refresh instead.

Quietus is actually pretty decent if you have large groups with BP/BW. I tend to forget that DP exists, I'd rather use TBN+Abyssal drain (Quietus bonus too) then DA+DP.

Overall it feels like the job is okay but hasn't quite hit the mark.
