    You likely would have had a better outcome if you actually just applied to one of the many linkshells on Besaid that has killed ifrit, or at least pug'd it with some reasonably skilled players as opposed to making this WAH thread.

    Making this thread is not going to make you kill Ifrit or Moogle or Garuda or any boss any faster. Bosses are not weak to WAH threads iirc.

    That's the old way of doing things. The new game development process many western studios have adopted for online titles is to be more inclusive in their testing process to get as large a sample in feedback as possible.
    No amount of developer and or player testing is going to save your group if people are dying before 50%...and now you are just coming off as bitter because you haven't killed it yet.

    Not a troll at all. And no, it's based on observations of general game development practice in the industry globally. It is a major point to remember that Japan has been lagging behind western game development techniques for some years now.

    i rather not. the PTRs create the issues with competition and take the surprise factor out of the fights.

    i rather get patch and be surprised by a difficult fight than knowing exactly what to do and steamroll the content once patch day is released.

    And what makes it not enjoyable, save for the lag and loot system? Why is everyone else having fun in killing the horned cow? Why are people excited at the prospect of a challenging fight the first time round?

    Heck, their concept video for the IFRIT fight didn't consist if just lancers and conjurers. They did it with all the combat classes, making it highly likely that they did test and try to develop it in vein of balanced enjoyment. And how do you expect inclusive feedback for something that won't be released for full usage? And this is an Eastern developer here, no matter what audience they're aiming for, thy are still gong to use their methods.

    Honestly, I do not care for the drops Ifrit gives. What I care for is completion. I can wait, sure, but I go on Ifrit parties with my linkshells when they need a Lancer, and it hasn't been successful. When I contribute my time, I would like it to be a good experience, not a time-wasting, stress-inducing one.

    the fight can be won with a traditional party, don't blame SE when the community takes the path of least resistance to win.
    hell ive had to heal thru sear damage even with lancers out of the ass so its most definitely doable

    according to western game reviewers yet japans game market seems as strong as ever. in case western games developers haven't noticed the japanesse make games for there market, its us westerners that go "can we play that as well", so i think they got some idea of what there doing
