This is why they need to add some lower level Ifrit fight that doesn't drop anything....hey wait a second...I wouldn't be complaining right now if we had scaling difficulty options, like in the other thread I'd started some time ago.
It's not that hard to give players the option to have a moderately easier fight and have no "unique drops" happen because of the settings. Quite simple, really. (I do not understand why the detractors can't wrap their heads around the idea of having three difficulty settings for the ifrit fight, with the highest setting being the only one that drops the ifrit gear...)
