What I actually wish, and I bet this will get some hate, is that they would give preference as a veteran reward. Legacy players and those who have been paying since 2.0 launch should have preference as a reward for loyalty. And they should really limit it to one house per account per server or maybe one FC house and one personal house per account per server.

Yes one character can own a FC house and one private house. The problem is that there are some people that level up alts and buy private houses with them too. You can have 8 characters per server so someone could technically own 16 houses (FC + Personal). I already had discussions with someone on this forum that owns more than one house..I am just not really sure why SE never thought about a restriction per server. Make it so that Alt characters can be part of the house too so that people can use their house with more than one character. And if someone wants a house just for their alt character they just need to go to another server. You create a very limited feature with lots of items and stuff behind it yet somehow make no real restrictions for it..

This way the alts on the account however would be able to be classified as an owner on the house as well and use it. So long as SE considers "Alts" as a fully separate character. This issue will never be solved.

Sorry, but no they haven't.

I suspect they made a ninja edit to the patch notes sometime after they went up, because, when I read them shortly before servers were live, I could also swear that it said 4.1 at the time, rather than "future update" that it says now.

I assume the 12 wards will be opened by then, since SE already knowns they all gonna be occupied very quickly. Or maybe they could open first like 6 wards with a head start for FC, and then 6 more for everyone. In any case I certainly not expect only 1 ward to be opened when Housing goes live.

No no, I certainly expect all wards to be open when housing goes live.
What I meant, however, is whether we will be able to access them before that. Right now, you could log out in ward 1 in front of the house you want. However, ward 1 is the only one that we can access in that way. I was just thinking the rush would be spread a bit more if we were able to access all wards in advance like this.

That is a terrible idea. You are basically taking a whole feature of the game and restricting it to only long term players. Anyone who hasn't been playing for four years likely winds up getting screwed. Considering this game caters heavily towards a constant stream of new players, doing something like this is a great way to piss them off.

Locking the wards from personal housing so only FCs can purchase plots in the new ward would be one of the stupidest things ever concieved of in the history of humanity. Including Shake Weights. And if they actually did this I would probably just unsub. I've been waiting for the new housing ward for months now. The amount of rage that would ensue if I couldn't buy a personal house because special snowflake personal FC owners want two plots? Bahamut would look like nothing in comparison.

I already chose a plot, medium size that is my budget. Do i actually think i will get one... very doubtful
With no instanced housing, the housing system will always be a mess
