I can understand with hard earned items etc, but it's just a hair style, no need to keep it exclusive, not fair for people that missed out. Besides, this is a video game![]()

It's not fair for people who can't be bothered to keep up to date with the game you mean? Why should anyone cater to lazy-ness? Like I said, it should be like real life where if you miss out, you miss out; but Square is nice. I said that directly in my previous post you quoted.

... the 'event' literally took two minutes and consisted of talking to three NPCs with no meaningful dialogue or anything. It was basically, "we know you only care about the MGP perk. So... here it is!" Fairness is plain silly. You didn't work for this; you didn't do anything meaningful. You talked to someone for two seconds and got access to prizes. Who cares if someone else wants to purchase it off the Mogstation a year later? It's not fair for people who can't be bothered to keep up to date with the game you mean? Keep up with the game get it free, don't keep up, pay a price. That seems like a fair compromise to me.It's not fair for people who can't be bothered to keep up to date with the game you mean? Heavily exclusive content in mmo's has never done much good, the few that want the ego of having an item (they don't typically use) others don't doesn't compare to the many that would feel left out but are willing to pay or do something. It's ok when its a few things, but the longer an mmo goes and the more exclusive locked content it gets the more it bothers the late joiners who see many things they cant have without a good reason.
Not to mention its always a shame to have nice looking content held back and forgotten in the name of "exclusivity".
Being occupied with other things in my life instead of refreshing XIV news and updates every day means I'm lazy? lol ok.It's not fair for people who can't be bothered to keep up to date with the game you mean? Not sure why you're being so hostile? but the posters above me have explained the situation beautifully, no need for me to get involved at this point.
Thanks for your input anyway.

I don't think you know everyone's situation. What if someone has surgery and cannot get on the computer, or life happens..etc? I agree with Rekujin, its just a video game and a hair style. As someone who has been around since 1.0 days...I have every item they ever released, but at the same time...(sans legacy items) I think its fine for people to re-obtain items they missed. It's not fair for people who can't be bothered to keep up to date with the game you mean? I wasn't able to participate in the event because I had to take care of a sick family-member and couldn't afford a sub (because of said family member) at that time. But yeah, blame me for rather helping someone out with nearly everything than playing a video game and talking to a few NPC's 'cause that's so much more work, right? Some people, I swear...
I'd love to get the hair style since I really like it and I'm hoping it will be in the mog store someday. Just be happy that you were able to pay for your sub and get the hairstyle for free instead of pointing fingers and calling those lazy who just weren't able to get it in the first place. After all it's not your money we're going to spend for it.
