The main problem is that people aren't flexible. Yes, it sucks that your favorite job is a DPS and queues are insane right now. But surely there's gotta be either a healer or tank job that you still enjoy playing?

And I'm going to point and laugh at SMNs complaining about the queue. You have a way around it.

I actually like leveling a DPS to 70 first, because we can use the MSQ and sidequests for most of the EXP...

There'll be easier queues for a tank/healer, so I'd want level them up after. :3

So, I get my tank to 70 then I decided to level my Monk up doing dungeons only to wait in que for literally 82 minutes!

Hit level 70 yesterday as RDM. You should have leveled to 70 on a dps class using msq. Your tank could have dungeon grinded no prob. xD

Paladins are miles ahead of the other tanks, they are far from being balanced/equal.

Yup I learned my lesson the first time leveling a healer or tank to the new cap first then taking years to level one dps because of the Ques so I leveled SAM to 70 quick and now will go back for my AST.

This!! We had a really bad healer in ala mhigo and they died at zenos pretty early in the fight and that PLD not only healed us dps and himself, he also kept aggro....PLD went from one of the worse to the best tank currently hands down, the other two barely compare now

This is why we have so many different means to gain EXP.

I'm struggling to choose a job to level first as despite being a healer main, I'm very pleased with the changes to Paladin, and love the design of Red Mage.

But yes, this DPS queues being a nightmare was foreseen when it was revealed Samurai was the second and final job for Stormblood that was also a DPS, and that we weren't getting a new tank or healer in 4.0.
