It's... optional.
I like them for the story. But I definitely don't do all of them or even close. If you're tired of them just... stop.

Nah this is a game where some people have all battle classes to 60. So having million side quests is perfect. As someone mentioned it's another way to level rather than spaming potd fates and etc. Also someone else also mentioned that you do not have to complete them :3

Some of the side quest are actually quite involved this time it looks like they put more effort into them this time compared to HW.

Some of the HW quests were pretty involved too. I'm glad to see they're continuing to put so much effort into storylines that aren't just the MSQ.
the amount is fine, how they are laid out/ progressed through is archaic now though. It's nice to work through a zone systematically completing each area and moving on, these are all over the place from far west to far east and a chain that sends you back far east XD

>: I like them, I like these especially, and actually am kinda sad because I finished them so quickly. They put so much time and detail into the world, I would not ask for less.
There were alot of side quests in HW, you dont see them on the map anymore because the xp from 50-60 at the release of HW was insane and it took pretty much every dungeon, side quest, and MSQ to get to 60.

i understand how this would adversly effect you. Just dont do em
You can hide them. Accept the quest then hide it in your journal and the map markers disappear. It's what I do to clear the map of low level quests in ARR.
I'm level 66 and i haven't done a single sidequest... They're optional (i'm actually saving all of them for rdm 60-70)
