People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
Can always try playing as Healer or Tank if you have that?
I've been getting 0-5 second Queue times all weekend.
If you don't have one of those roles levelled, then i dunno. : /

Ohhhhhh! Weird. Maybe i'm on a less populated world. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to log on?
Of any launch issues i had this weekend, that was the farthest from anything on mind.
(I can't think of having had any issues really, lol) ... Not trying to diminish the problems others have had, it was just... really smooth over here. I don't know why...

Far as I remember balmung is a RP server filled with die hard players not casuals
All of these are work-arounds, not solutions. A solution is, by definition, something that allows players with less available time to play the ability to access the content they've paid for. Waiting a week doesn't solve their lost value, and increases the distance between them and any friends they have with more playtime. Logging in before or after rush hour likely doesn't work either, because if someone has sufficient time for that flexibility, then they're definitely not limited to an hour or two a night. And transferring should never be pitched as a solution, because this is first and foremost a social game - people don't want to leave their friends. Free transfers are a solution from SE's point of view, but not from a customer's.
That said, I think it's a bit hyperbolic to call Stormblood itself a "nightmare" for casual players. The first week* will be a nightmare. The Early Access was a nightmare. The expansion itself? Too soon to say - though I will say that so far, SE seems to be doing their best to guide players through the content and lower the complexity of combat. I personally find this to be a giant negative (I am deeply unhappy with the 4.0 combat system), but newer players or those with less time to play will likely benefit from it.
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
It is a solution; it's just not one that you want to use or like. But it's a solution, compounded with the fact that they did a whole lot of incentives to get you guys to move off that server.
Don't get annoyed at the solution and say there is none. You can be annoyed. You can't, however, argue there's no solution.
I just xfered to Balmung awhile ago..from Mateus( really wish i didn't ).
But you have to keep in mind the major downside to lower pop servers such as Mateus, as a dps, had HORRENDOUSLY LONG INSTANCE Q TIMES.
So i can see why, one would not want to Xfer off of such an OP server.
---Or am i being a noob(just came back to FFXIV recently) and the Duty finder searches across all the servers for party members?
