Lol thats exactly what I did. Get enough aggro and just drop grit and use blood weapon for MP cause BP isn't enoughThis just guarantees that I will stance dance.
Seeing as we don't pay as steep of a penalty, maybe intended?
I don't know, but even at 31s blood price sucks for MP. I will need those sweet Blood Weapon gains.
If it is too bad I will just become a Samurai main. I am almost 60 and that class is FUN. Why did they ruin DRK? I did a dungeon synced to 50 and it was more boring than 2.xx PLD.
My new approach to DRK is to stance dance. I start in Grit to build aggro, then regen MP with Blood Price + Syphon. After I've got full MP, I turn off Grit, turn on a defensive cooldown, and use Blood Weapon while spamming Dark Arts on every single attack I can enhance. Once I'm low on MP and Blood Weapon runs out, I switch back to Grit and regen more MP while Blood Weapon is on cooldown. Then I switch out of it again, etc. I can't say if it's a perfect approach or not, but it feels effective to me, even if it's much less fluent than before. Though once I unlock more 61-70 skills my approach may change.
Their nerfing of Unleash makes no sense to me either, really. I mean, they didn't nerf AD, so why bother? Unleash was essentially just AD but centered on oneself for pulls.
Overall, though, I'm very dissatisfied with the DRK changes so far, and the tank changes in general. Even if it becomes decently entertaining to play at Lv70, I'm paying to play all of FF14, not just Stormblood. I don't want to have to play a gimped class whenever I want to tank ShivaEX on minIL for fun. I pity the DPS mains... because these changes are going to cause a lot of tanks to stop tanking, which will only cause them to become even more of a rare find.
