IIRC, sales/subs from XI/XIV/DQ go to SE as a whole. Mogstation sales are 100% to the XIV team. The MS sales help them add extra funding to the XIV projects, servers, etc. I do think they need a little more from SE as a whole for expanded server capacity for sure though. Hopefully once we get into 5.0 they'll have rewritten most of 1.0s crap infastructure so it won't keep holding them back in terms of giving us much needed in-game fixes too... but you need funding for that. :|

Most definitely. I play that game religiously. But that DLC was not worth 20 bucks or $15. It was a waste of time for extra skins and dlc with the producers that nobody wanted or asked for. All of it is blamed on FFXV for that stupid reason.

While it may not be popular in the Western Countries, I'm sure it was better received in the Eastern Countries.

But back to the topic - its spendings on things like this that will only appeal to a certain play group rather than the world as a whole. More funding needs to be put back into the games with online and multiplayer interactions rather than sent to single player DLC.

The content we get is top notch, no other mmo gives updates of the same quality or even close as FFXIV. They aren't afraid to add fundmentals and change them either. We didn't have glamours or dyable weapons, now we have dyable dungeon gear and no rank glamour prisms.

If it's about SB snafu, I can't agree. Too many ignorant and entitled folks just yelling over how successful the playerbase ddos was against the first bottleneck msq. Everyone wanted in and too many were too stubborn to do things besides sitting there spamming it.

That is a part of the issue on top of outdated servers peripherals. The servers in use currently are the same ones used in 1.0 which was put in for beta in March 2010. We're coming up on almost 10 years without an update to the server mainframe and there are better options out there that can handle the load that is being placed on specific data centers.

Yes I have no issues with Mogstation either, in fact I'm thankful for it. Without it, we may not have an EU data centre which has been confirmed that mogstation paid for it and it's ongoing upkeep.
