    I think that many of the people are getting too revved up, but this. THIS is an acceptable want from them. They've already released this content and borked it up. I think that acknowledging the problem and showing that steps will be taken is a reasonable request. No free crap, no ilvl over 9000 gear to comp us, no public execution of employees at SE. A statement telling us they hosed us on the early access (its not beta, its literally getting access to the new content early ((you know, because its complete, hence the word early and no in developement)) ).

    The letters they have put out have only given us the idea that they are just going to wait it out and once the people get through, call it fixed. Yes, that is a solution, i get that companies have cost and have to worry about overspending once the community goes back down, and them having a bunch of servers doing nothing. Its overhead, i get it. BUT, there have to be some ideas they could implement to fix this, or at least show us a real attempt through simply communicating with the playerbase. That, is not too much to ask. But hey, it's only my opinion, and this is the internet, so if you wanna start a fire on me about it i could say i have it coming.

    It's not even as bad as that, they can rent extra capacity, WoW does it all the time for their launches.

    This is indeed frustrating. What's even more frustrating is that these connection/disconnect issues have happened at every launch of FFXIV and it's expansions, going back to 1.0.

    It's like SE doesn't understand how to fix it, and just waits for players to stop logging on.
