You're gonna get a lot of flak, and rightfully so. This is just a bad argument. The big issue is so much content is gated behind this. We can't even explore the new zones fully because they are gated behind parts of the MSQ. And this isn't like XI where they added new content that didn't revolve around the MSQ. Once you unlocked Aht Urghan you got to explore it and it's adjacent areas, you got to participate in beseiged, do assaults, or ISNMs. So very little was locked. By comparison we got half of 2 zones, a handful of story quests and normal quests, and that's it. We can't even do the first dungeon because its gated.

So yes, people have every right to be angry. We can't even enjoy the game because it's all locked and they created a bottle neck with no solution after an entire day.

I cannot agree more. We paid for early access, not "unable to access due to poor service" access. People don't pay extra money for the chance to 90k and be blocked off by instances.

I know it sucks, but there's nothing anyone can do beside complain. Nothing will ever change. You know why? Because people will continue to pay and play and since this only happens for a few days once every 2 years or so, I don't see any changes coming soon. So might as well relax and wait for the big rush to pass. *shrugs*

You are the paying customer! It is YOUR money that pays their salaries. While yes one person's $15 - $60 doesn't pay their salary by itself, it does not mean that you do not have rights. There are things called consumer laws, and yes they apply to an MMO. It is still a product/service, taking money for said product and/or service and delivering a product/service that isn't functional is breach of those laws. Now obviously some leniency is given in order to allow the company to rectify the situation either through an update/patch or other means. However the consumer is also entitled to receive up to date notifications on what steps are being done to rectify said situation.

With that being said, everyone has a right to be angry. They paid for a product they cannot use, and have received very little communication from the company other than try again later.

Tried for hours last night to get on, but no luck. I'll try for hours today as well. I have a friend that can't get past the instanced vault quest because they keep getting kicked. Its upsetting, but i'm pretty sure they are working on something so i'll wait.

as for those saying we paid for early access... no we did not. it was a bonus that came with preordering sb. I wish we could actual use the bonus, but that is all it is a bonus for buying a game early. hopefully square will fix this before to long because I'm sure today will be hit harder than yesterday.

We may not of paid just for early access but it was one of the big reasons people pre-ordered the game versus waiting for the official release.
