Saw some people from Odin complaining about it too, so assuming it's being experienced there as well.

The gate was there on Odin too last night, but this morning around 7 am GMT (3 hours ago) I was able to complete the quest instance. There were about 10-20 people near the instance NPC so not very much traffic. I'm guessing it's because the people who stayed up late spamming the NPC had gone to bed and the people who went to bed earlier hadn't woken up yet. Not sure what the situation is like now.

If they cut the hp of the mobs in the instance, it would significantly speed things up and wouldn't require any new coding. In fact, if the stats are in a table, it might not even require any downtime at all.

I'll say it again it's erly acsess it's basicly a glorified stress test and guess what these things happen it happens in all mmos it hapens in wow guild wars you name it it happens new content like expansions are always like this for the first week or so get over it and let the devs fix the problom

Yeah, it happened in wow. And they fixed it in 2 hours.

Yesterday's rush is pretty much ALL the time I will have until after Tuesday, hospital employee and all the jazz that comes with it, so here's a blank hope that something will get better. Maybe.

I expected some sort of issue, but I also hoped for more feedback. I don't log into the forums very much, but I came looking and found myself underwhelmed at official word. I dunno, I thought maybe after all these years companies had possibly seen the good/bad reactions to information and understood that when things break, people like to know why and will be far more willing to "come back later" with more than a sorry.

Sorry isn't good enough at this point. They should've shut down the servers and done something to remedy it by now.

Flag the quest as complete for everyone
Reduce boss HP so it's quicker to complete
Put a queue on solo instances

Fucking something. The congestion isn't clearing in the slightest by waiting.

The development team deserve all the negativity they get.

They honestly do not owe you any more. If it is unacceptable you can unsub. You have players in other games violently screaming at their monitors looking for a response when shit hits the fan and with FFXIV you actually get a response and confirmation that they are working on it, but it is unacceptable? What you think they are wizards? This shit takes time. If you don't realize that "early access" is spanish for "this is a stress test" then I have no idea what to tell you. QQ moar.
