Which summons would you like to see in the future?

lol I liked your idea of Whyt too. I completely forgot about him! He'd make a good summon pet imo.

How I miss Whyt~

Never understood why he couldn't use Meteor though. . . Oh well. . .

Oh and what if Summons evolved to your liking? I remember something in FFIV about how all Eidolons begin as Whyts and then grow up and evolve into Eidolons like Ifrit.
So, what if it went something like this:
Astral Spirit -> Fairy -> Whyt -> Maduin (Offensive/Buffing branch)
-> Unicorn -> Kirin (Healing/Buffing branch)
-> Carbuncle -> Myst Dragon (Tanking/Buffing branch)

So, at a certain point you can choose what you want your Avatar to evolve into. But, for each element the powers of the Avatars differ. So, in my example, no matter what branch each Summon gets Buffing abilities. Now, this is something I just made up right now so go easy on me if you don't like it. x.x

I seem to recall this aswell. I never did get Doom Train in FFVIII I just wanted to see the ending on my large TV with Volumn up uninterupted :/

In one of the french interviews Yoshida was about Doomtrain, if I remember it right he said that many players had been asking for Doomtrain and that they would take it into consideration when further developing the game and seeing where it all leeds. Without any promises.

Each beastman tribe is connected to a Primal and can summon them when they gather a bunch of crystals.

Ixali have Garuda
Sahagin have Leviathan
Amal'ja have Ifrit
Kobold have Titan

After the crystals get used for the summoning, they become Deaspected Crystals which are drained of their elemental affinity. The Garlean Empire is also using the energy in the crystals (called Cerulean) to power their Magitek Technology. The crystals drained of their Cerulean also get turned into Deaspected Crystals. The Garlean Empire despises the Primals and the Beastmen tribes but I think I read somewhere that they're trying to figure out a way to summon their own Primal but correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

I think he means the one that you can watch optionally through the main menu. The menu that says something like:

Or something like that. . .

Ah ok, that one I haven't seen yet, mainly because I'm so impatient when going through those menus lol. Takes a while to get through them all.
