Ever heard of Deus Ex Machina?
I wouldn't put it past Garleans to try and create their own Primal.
As for Garleans being the cause of Primals, did you even watch the intro movie?

Being a Holy summon with angel wings doesn't sound godly? And besides it might not be all machine who knows.
The Garleans aren't behind the Primals but I think I read that they're trying to summon their own.
Yeah, about a year ago. As far as I remember the Limsa Lominsa intro starts with you in a ship being attacked by mobs and then you get to see a huge sea serpent which looks like Leviathan to me. Maybe I should watch it again lol.
I was just saying that if the Garleans are the creators of the machines and their goal is to summon Primals which are Gods, and if they add Alexander who is a mechanic beast (with wings as somebody posted, but the last two times I saw him I don't think he had wings) I find that contradictory. But then again I remind myself that a lot of the smaller things in Final Fantasy don't have to make any sense.

Each beastman tribe is connected to a Primal and can summon them when they gather a bunch of crystals.
Ixali have Garuda
Sahagin have Leviathan
Amal'ja have Ifrit
Kobold have Titan
After the crystals get used for the summoning, they become Deaspected Crystals which are drained of their elemental affinity. The Garlean Empire is also using the energy in the crystals (called Cerulean) to power their Magitek Technology. The crystals drained of their Cerulean also get turned into Deaspected Crystals. The Garlean Empire despises the Primals and the Beastmen tribes but I think I read somewhere that they're trying to figure out a way to summon their own Primal but correct me if I'm wrong on that one.
I think that's the gist of it.

I think he means the one that you can watch optionally through the main menu. The menu that says something like:Yeah, about a year ago. As far as I remember the Limsa Lominsa intro starts with you in a ship being attacked by mobs and then you get to see a huge sea serpent which looks like Leviathan to me. Maybe I should watch it again lol.

Or something like that. . .

I think I remember hearing that Gigas are talked about in the game that live somewhere cold/north(?) and are assumed to be connected to Shiva as well.

lol I liked your idea of Whyt too. I completely forgot about him! He'd make a good summon pet imo.
Choo Choo! Here comes the DOOM TRAIN!
