I have to admit though, I get a horribly eerie feeling whenever I go into the wards. I feel like I'm staring at hundreds of zombies. In fact, I can liken it to the part in the movie "Silent Hill" when she walks into the hall filled with those bizarre zombie nurses. Those things to this day give me the willies (I wanted to go as one for the Halloween party I'm going to).
Message for Yoshi-P: I really like all your ideas! Go for them!!
Also, magitek armours of FFVI are my first choice as well. They truly are the best magitek armours! (Maybe it has to do with FFVI being my favourite, haha)
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
Isn't that by far the biggest appeal of that job? This is like saying Paladins won't be able to equip a shield because of balancing concerns.
Maybe I'm overstating the importance here, but I never heard of anyone who played Dragoon for the polearm. They wanted a freaking dragon.
Either spend the extra time balancing, or if it just doesn't work for whatever reason, don't add it. How different from Lancer is it even going to be then?
Lack of dragon hasn't been a problem before. It's an XI thing.Maybe I'm overstating the importance here, but I never heard of anyone who played Dragoon for the polearm. They wanted a freaking dragon.
Plus, all the specialization regarding Jobs in XI were small gimmicks like wyvern or meditate. It's no wonder it's exactly those small gimmicks that made them appealing.
No "they" don't. A good portion of us do not want a wyvern pet.
Let's see... I played Kain's character in FFIV, sans Dragon. I played mostly DRG in FFV, sans Dragon. I played Cid Highwind as a main party member in FFVII, sans Dragon.
Hell, I played the damn Cat-dude in FFX...... sans Dragon.
I'm pretty sure the appeal of Dragoon does not have much to do with a Dragon.
Combos = 10 second animation lock?
All the interviews and info we have gotten lately has been a tremendous hype, and I'm enjoying every part of it. The open communication is creating a bridge between us and the devs, and this is like Yoshi has said, creating a fine level of trust.
What struck me most from the interview was..
That's my favorite Final Fantasy character, you better not have mentioned him in vain or I will be mad! *shakes fist*…And also Red XIII is one of the mount players wanted. *laughters* We might as well rename it « Red XIV »! *laughters*
"You will be able to summon them after 2.0 but with this ff14 we are considering these traditional primals such as ifrit and leviathan like a god. So I want to separate the traditional summoning system from these new primals. You will be able to summon 1 primal per 1 world, such as 1 ifrit for 1 world. So there will be ifrit, garuda, and so on but only 1 each. So with this new system Im planning to implement, the free companies who have defeated the primal have the ability to summon them. In the previous series, someone could summon Ifrit as well as other people could summon Ifrit. So there would be serval ifrits in one world but I don’t want it to be like that, so people will have to fight each other to have the ability to summon ifrit.
If summons are not considered primals, they will be more common and more people will be able to summon them. We will add the summoner class which can summon carbuncle but theyre different from primals. So primals can only be summons by free companies."
