I believe the download is highly compressed. My FF14 file is now 69gb, up from 46gb, thats more than the patch size for sure.

I got the patching error and had to delete and re download, mine went from 46gb to 69gb after reinstalling, but the download was definitely compressed as it was only like 28gb when it Dl'd

I got mine in MB patch sizes I and I"m on ps4 and got early access. I wonder why some of you got them in GB sizes.

Pretty much this. Its ~1k or so MBs to make 1 GB. (give or take 100mbs) I approximate more nowadays. So 61XXmbs = 6.1 GBs (in my best approximation.)
