the recast just effectively throws MNK damage out of wack since you hit like you have another GL3 stack but you attack like you don't have it at all. It's badly designed. Making MNK fight like a DRG for more damage in a burst window with every problem the monk has to deal with such as keeping up DK, TS, and GL3. And in that hoping that Deep Mediation and Brotherhood offset that at the very least in Riddle of Fire you can't use meditation since the GCD increase makes that DPS loss huge in the burst window forced on monk. Figuring out a new opener for that, that will involve PB will be fun.
Dunno, it sounds like a good skill to burst all oGCDs by double weaving...
With RoF + GL3 + Twin + DK it'd be an attack modifier of 80% :/
Specially in comparison to the starting one with 20% power increase and 30% speed loss.

monk do not have that many ogcd skills to need double weaving, even less now whit the cross class sistem removed, and tfc will be on a 5 seconds cooldown, so not posible to spam it

So the tooltip didn't change a bit since the media tour, which is really alarming for the state of monk in 4.0, and the dev's ability to make this job relevant and interesting to play. I guess all the melee dev time went to Samurai ...
I could see Riddle of Fire working only if you were to prioritize SS since it could lessen the weaponskill recast timer. We'll have to wait to see endgame stats before we make a final call on it I feel. If we can get enough SS while prioritizing Crit to reach an acceptable level for it, then it may be useful. But again, that depends on what our stats look like at endgame.
To me it still sounds like a melee BLM :/

and becoming less and less interesting. don't forget this poing, a dumb down monk that is playing like a weak blm.... *sigh*
from XI to XIV 2.0 i came as a monk and when 4.0 finally hits i will be a bard.... it sucks how they just destroyed the class design as a machine gun with riddle of fire... maybe they will change their mind and i can go back to the job i love![]()
