Fun Fact. Whenever i get to have free time (1 week+) i feel bored of games very quickly and start to hate it.
Besides what you pointed out, being able to stay at home and play all day every day is very overrated.

Nah. I mean if you got too many days off ready, sure. But otherwise, don't. MMO launches are always chaotic with often downtimes, delays, and whatnot.
90% you will miss a queue/server crash / wait game. 10% you will be able to finish a few quests.
You have a headstart, so the weekend will be yours anyway.

You weren't around for Heavensward launch then? FF14 is extremely smooth when it comes to EXPAC launches and major patches. I remember when NIN was released in 2.0, once again, no fuss at all.
