Is that accurate, I find it really hard to believe that only 1/2 million players play FF14. Japan should be Half a million on its own.

You are severely overestimating XIV's population size.

The recent Lucky Bancho census, which counts active players defined by a particular criteria, sets it much lower.

It's really only bad trying to log in through a 4-5 digit player queue. Once you're in, don't log off. Ever.

This is why you get the 4-5 digit queues. Everyone afking is taking up a spot on the server, making it harder for everyone to get in. If everyone logs out when they're done playing, things go more smoothly.

That log in queue you see every day isn't real, btw. Just click cancel and log in again and you'll immediately get in. It's just there for show.
