I hope this is part of that "subject to interpretation" bit. Paid transfers I have no problem with. Free once per week? Terrible, terrible idea.

Of course if they want to change the server itself that will be possible. We have not decided if its going to be something that you have to pay money to do or if it’ll be allowed once a week for free. We haven’t made that business decision yet but this new server will allow you to play with people on other servers.

Very true, sorry didn't read the interviews only your post, and I read the disclaimer, so... lol

But yea, I think that's a very bad idea. At least timeframe-wise. Even if they made it free (I'm sure people wouldn't mind, and some people it would help like those on a limited budget), it should at least have a much more strict timeframe. Otherwise I see a lot of upset PUGs cause they got ninja'd.

Free once per week was most likely said in reference to Rift, which started to use this model recently. It doesn't mean SE have in plan to use something like that. Especially when XI still have a 90 days limit.

I certainly hope you're right, sir. I'm not opposed to free transfers, just the time length they mentioned.
