lol...
Yes I played FFXI...
Yes I started in Bastok...
Here is some old school nostalgia for ya:: Remember back in the day when we would run all the way though Konschtat Highlands to go get parties in the dunes...
Everyone would be hanging around the NPC that could give you signet, then high levels would run though with a chain of Gobs, zone into Konschtat, and as all the Gobs slowly made their way back to their spawn points, they would kill every low level along the way...
...then people who zoned into the dunes would be greeted by a massacre of low level bodies...
Ahhh the good old days of getting MPKed while waiting for parties. XD

I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
Hey. Hey, guys? Valkurm Emperor.
That NM was the BANE of my life... anytime I fought it no drop! Anytime I fought it to help another, insta-drop! Evil thing! /cryHey. Hey, guys? Valkurm Emperor.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
I remember when I first started. A guy helped me out as soon as I joined. Hooked me up with the bronze stuff. (My first experience with subligar....)
I killed some bees and worms and I was happy as hell. I tell the guy and he says "Cool, cool. Oh, watch out for Quadav."
"What's a Quadav?" I ask in my noobish sincerity.
"Heh, you'll find out."
And find out I did. I wander to that first little dip outside the market gates. There was a nice little campfire, nothing else around.
"Oh cool!" I walk over and watch the animation of the fire.
Then they spawn. You know the ones. The two mages and the one Young Quadav.
I die. Horribly.
Thus was my first KO experience in XI.![]()
The cheapest way to get it is off of iTunes. Here's a link to the iTunes preview for the album.

The song is track 7: Gustaberg
If you're interested in buying an actual physical copy of the CD, you'll have to import it. Here's a link to the product page at Play Asia.

Be aware that, despite the fairly steep price, it's a standard length album with 11 tracks. Unfortunately, CDs are pretty expensive in Japan. You might want to listen to the tracks on You Tube first if you're thinking of buying a physical copy.
I own the CD, but I bought it back when I was living in Japan. This morning I was listening to it as I was getting ready, and was hit with a major wave of nostalgia when Gustaberg came on. I figured some of you on the XIV forum would probably feel the same way.![]()
SJ Quest PT LFM
Amen to that!
Once a BLM, always a BLM. I know I'll be donning the oversized hat once again in FF XIV. It's just a matter of time. My XIV character doesn't know it, but he was a Tarutaru in a previous life.
Good luck, brother BLM! May all your manaburns prove fruitful.
