I think I'm starting to narrow down between DRK and PLD. WAR seems fun but I think it might be a bit too DPS focused for me.From a long time tank of all three classes, it's really up to what you feel comfortable with. If the goal is to pick up quick and move through MSQ, I would do Dark Knight, Warrior is getting enough of a rework that I would be leery about bringing it into party combat quickly. Paladin is my personal favorite but that is because I think it is the -easiest- out of the tanks to get into. I wish you the best on your tank endeavors!
Right now people can tell you how they played in Heavensward but there is just a lot of theory about how differently they will play in Stormblood based on the media tour information.
I suspect that PLD will remain easier to play adequately for most 4 person dungeons. Their party utility is in keeping other party members protected so if the rest of the party isn't taking damage they will have a lot less to worry about.
Yes believe so but idk if you will keep your current stats going into SB. Im gonna respec all points into STR just incase.
Ahhh, the old STR vs VIT topic of 3.0 and 3.1 is back! THE GLORIOUS DAYS!
I'm so tempted to feed trolls or troll myself. But this brings a valid point. While I don't know what the exact intricacies this would involve or if we're retaining the bonus points to spec into. I am sure 30~45 vitality won't affect the grand scheme of things. SPECIALLY at level 70. Currently most tank BiS include 1 STR ring.
STR going back to contributing 100% of a tank's attack power will only make STR melds onto the right side more valued and that's about it. Tanks are getting Tenacity which I assume will increase damage by a % instead of flat amounts. At the moment everything is just pure speculations until notes go live and testing is done.
We really need the patch notes to have a better idea of the numbers. Nothing will beat actually playing of course.
That said, I am going War tank.
I think they were complaining about changes to WAR that are coming up
