Reason for Lack of Miqo'te in MSQ?

I personally would love a Au Ra, Miqo'te, or hyur female NPC in the PLD job story quest. At present it's all guys, a Hyur male, a Roe male, an Elezen male, even a Lalafell male shows up from time to time (he's retired, but still gives advise). Add on top of this almost all PLD art and promo content is males, mostly of the large races, with only 2 artworks in all these years of female PLD's. it would be nice to see at least one short cute female PLD in our quest line, or at least a bit of art with us in it more often.

As far as MSQ goes, don't really care. SE would most likely just kill them off next patch or use them once and forget their there for the most part (R.I.P Hilda).

An ironic fact I am aware of. Even more ironic cause I, personally, couldn't care less for most event artwork. I'd trade being a bunny-cat girl or a swimsuit model any day for more appearances as a cool, cute, and elegant knight. xD

There's actually a female Midlander hyur PLD in the ARR Hildibrand questline whose name escapes me at the moment - there is a lore reason why it's mostly men taking that role though, PLDs are members of the Sultansworn Elite, the royal guard of Ul'dah, who have long been very insular and exclusive in their recruitment (it was only the lead up to the Calamity did they start teaching their skills and knowledge to skilled adventurers who had trained as GLAs, who became free PLDs, which is what the player's character is if they're PLD.). Also the Little Ladies' Day event in 2015 mentioned that the three founding members of the Sultansworn were all men too.

Having said that, apart from that the GLA Guild master is also a woman too (a Highlander for that matter) so there are women who have taken up the sword (to say nothing of Ishgard's military including many female knights and soldiers).

because our sexy potency is roughly 3.5 times higher than the average Eorzean. Therefore it was decided that only a few Miqo'te can have screen time. Too many would cause a sexy safety hazard and likely cause third degree burns.

Lore and stuff

An interesting read, and to be honest if SE wants to keep the in game characters male only that's fine with me. I kind of see my own character as filling the petite female knight role. What I really wanted was more official art of female PLD's, like the ones I posted. I've been tossing around the idea of making a thread requesting such for a month or two now, but felt it would get poor reception (and based on the replies I've got, I think I was right). I thought I could slip it in this thread, but even that didn't work. ^^;

I won't give up hoping for more art like this, but I won't bother the community anymore with my request, since I'm probably the only one who wants it.

So, my fingers are crossed the countdown art for PLD is good.
