Pandora's box is opened once more. Lazy to read the whole thread but i assume it's the same shitshow, different section.

Always the same thing everytimes, you have the extreme that're so stuck up about healer dps or people that don't play to "their level" that they're abusing the kick system just because they can and then you have the other extreme that are hellbent on not dpsing even with Stormblood making it even simpler to do so, but decide not to because "its not their jobs" or in that case, because YoshiP said "its not expected of Healer to DPS"(even though he's..neutral?). Both sides are just laughable.

At least there seem to be quite a few neutral folks, good.

The simple point of view here is the best. Everyone play to the best of their ability and do what you can to support the team. Assume everyone else is doing that. And as Bill & Ted taught us many years ago, be excellent to each other. I mean really, it's a game we're meant to play together, cooperate and enjoy the result, why does it have to become so adversarial?

Time is a person's most valuable commodity. Most people don't like having it wasted.

Games aren't a waste of time though, not any more at least; I find that definition to be rather archaic.

Aside from being capable of benefiting a person mental health through the socialization aspect that most games have nowadays, people can make rather meaningful relationships. I've personally met a number of people whose social connection can actually benefit me professionally as we study/work in the same field through playing games. Building these social relationships can be very beneficial in more ways than one and should disqualify game from being considered a waste of time.

..... Allowing oneself to have leisure activities is not a waste of time. Allowing others to overly influence the value you get out of that commitment is a waste of time.
