I mean, you may be right. They may just be removing her for the main story once again so other characters have the opportunity to shine. perhaps she'll just convalesce and rejoin us later on or be so injured she'll never be the same etc etc. still, she doesn't come out of that encounter whole which we now know for certain, whereas before with the splice we see in Revolutions trailer, it was just "they're in danger." this is spoiling a major development whether she dies or is critically injured.
i mean, if its not one of those two things, and she wakes up the next day with a bit of a tummy ache but otherwise healthy, then its just really bad plot development.
....or the point was to have you guessing and speculating, the way you are now. That's actually the point of a trailer in general lol. You see something that makes you think something will happen, but you don't know for sure, so it makes you want to watch the movie/play the game to find out.I mean, you may be right. Isn't that what's happening here?
Another example. There's a part in the trailer where we see the lower body of a man carrying a lance. It looks like he's wearing some bad ass dragoon gear, and is possibly a NPC.
First guess: Estinien.
But we didn't actually see his face, so we don't know for certain if it is Estinien or not..
SO... is that spoiling that Estinien is coming back? Did that trailer tell us for certain that he's back? Or is it doing what trailers are supposed to do and have us guessing that it could be him?

From how it is going it is most likely this as the story is going more back to the past FF games where the Main Character eventually meet his or her "Party members" as they progress in the storyline.
Estinien is basically the Kain Highwind of FF14 now if he is going to become a Permenant "Party member" that travels with the WoL through the rest of FF14 Main Storyline.....or the point was to have you guessing and speculating, the way you are now. ....Shtola

I was just saying if that is Estinien then he is basically like Kain Highwind by how he is handled in the storyline but sorry for the confusion.
On topic:
However, yes this is most likely Estinien as that is his Lance from after he was corrupted by Nidhogg
I like the trailer a lot. But...
C'mon, really? You will kill the iconic character of Final Fantasy XIV? She is FFXIV. Who think they got for Dissidia?Who you think is the highest rank FFXIV character in Brave Exvius? Also on Final Fantasy Theatrhythm she is the one representing FFXIV. It is the same as kill Santotto in FFXI. They are the icon of their respective games. Unless, of course, Y'shtola return as "Gandalf-like being", much more powerful than before.
Thank you for the spoiler warning, I won't be watching it ^^. Why you do this SE ;_; ?
