How about we actually do what Yoshida asked, and wait until 1.20's released and we can evaluate it before deciding whether or not we're going to "jump ship" in December?

7UP!
Those unhappy about something are always a lot more vocal about it than those who are. Most people, when they say they're leaving, don't even bother to broadcast it. They just disappear out the nearest exit and are never heard from again. So this poll ought to be troubling you. Your own site is going to get even more quiet. Your own relevance as a fan site without much of a community is going to be questionable.
But MOST currently say they're staying if you look at the results from any of the "polls". Its only the much more vocal minority that like to shout from the hills that they're leaving.
The official site is the only place I've seen where most are saying they are staying. From what I can tell, FFXIV fan site polls, where they exist, are all pointing to most people leaving. Certainly the future survival of the Final Fantasy XIV community ought to be in doubt.
I find the nonchalance over this from the people who are supposedly the most pleased with the game quite disturbing and incomprehensible. You do realize an MMO needs a community to survive, don't you?

Do we really need to go through pages of responses to this statement again? It's like talking to a brick wall. The official site is the only place I've seen where most are saying they are staying. If you stop replying to a brick wall it will stop talking. FYI..
Let this trhea die
Damn straight I'm a brick wall. Stop trying to knock me over; you're only hurting yourself.
Try to understand I'm standing up for FFXIV players here, the ones who aren't a part of the totally sold out crowd, the ones who could be rabid fans but aren't feeling it yet. You should be helping me, not fighting me.

I can understand where you are coming from in regards to this game. However, can I ask you and others of the community who are having issues with FFXIV, to please just let it go? I am with you in regards to what we like and don't like. However there are many who do truly enjoy this game and who are in it for the long haul (My husband and I are still on the fence). I just ask that people such as us maybe keep our negative comments to ourselves?
TBH, to each their own right? Let people enjoy and those who don't like it, just make suggestions on things in the proper thread so it reaches the devs who need to see w/e to fix w/e it is that is bothering us?
BTW, not trying to be rude, like I said, I'm on the fence about this game, and will continue playing it for now, and maybe I'll p2p, maybe I won't. It just gets...agitating reading thing after thing that is so...depressing? IDK. Just a suggestion!![]()

I'm not saying you shouldn't like the game. I don't mind if you do at all. What I'm worried about is the attitude that you can shed a sizable portion of the existing FFXIV community and things will not only be fine, they'll be better. Let people go away for a year, and there's no guarantee they'll be back. They are on the verge of being loyal players, and people around here are dancing in the streets that they are going away. It's so self-destructive, how can I not say anything?Dear Amy,
