What's so wrong about populating the wards a bit more and having friends easily come to your place?

I'd say it would boost in game socialization a bit more.

I can already teleport to my own house due to the miniature aetherite in the garden, so I don't see the problem with allowing friends access to it via the friends list. The same goes for the aetherite nodes nearest the apartment blocks.
