I've been a SCH main since the job came out way back in ARR, but now? I'm definitely switching to AST. I don't dig some of the changes done to SCH and AST just looks like it's going to be the superior healer now.

Like this?
"you can unlock the new jobs the moment you defeated Ultima Weapon at lv 50, but you also need a job at level 60."
There would be complains
I'm going to switch to healer for stormblood. I haven't decided which yet. AST is really flexible, but I understand SCH just dandy and it won't be played as much now it seems. I'll play it by ear I guess.
I'm staying with DRK for stormblood, the changes don't bother me at all. I enjoy tanking, dps nerfs aren't enough to keep me from doing my job.
I guess it's my fate as a Dark Knight. Soon, I won't even feel any remorse for my actions!-Cecil Harvey-FFIV DRK
I'll STILL tank. Granted, I main PLD, but I have been on my DRK again lately for some unknown reason.

Well, as DPS main, I'll still play AST on the side - they didn't get hit, so no point in quitting it.
Tanks, I'll leave those to others. I heavily dislike the idea of forcing suboptimal accessories on people just because, so I'm not gonna support it. It's not fun, it's not gratifying, it's just a display of ineptitude when dealing with the metagame. They can shove it.
People didnt play the new jobs in HW right away cause they started at lvl 30 and were very weak. Samurai and RDM start at 50 wich is only 10 levels away from the new Content instead of 20. Also from all the Videos i have seen Sam and RDM look a bit overpowered. I might be wrong here but i kinda think that Yoshidas ways of thinking might not be right in this case. It's comments from Yoshi P like this:

make me wish that the players will prove him wrong. .

Eh give it a chance it hapens every expansion I meen people flock to the new stuff then tend \o go back to the stuff there used to so I don't realy think it will be as bad as people are makeing it
I'm personally someone who isnt happy with some of that lack of QoL UI changes.
(example being timers on some DPS, which the UI was meant to help track, but in the window where you need to know if the number of seconds is too high or just right, is usually so small, that on a bar, its like the last 1% and hardly noticeable. But lets go with the more obvious and easy to explain one. PLD and MP. Their Oath gauge doesnt reflect the actual UI they need to watch, which is their MP bar, and it needs to stay around the 80% mark. Which is not easy to know w/o visual aides. They could have slapped the MP bar with a small marker at the 80% mark, to help, but they didnt. You'll be looking at the numbers again. SMN DoTs didnt get mini bars to represent duration, so again you'll be looking at the numbers in thier debuff icon. So on and so forth.)
TL;DR if something about a class is plenty possible to do, but it "annoys" me, I'm not going to play it. I'm going to drop all tanks, and maybe all healers. (I'll decide if the new UI makes me like AST or not, as I didnt like the way it was handled before)
RDM on the other hand doesnt seem to have any annoying UI issues, so I plan to play it. (I havent watched much on SAM, so I cant speak for it, and some of the other DPS, though NIN looks pretty good with its new UI)
