Stoneskin shouldn't have been removed

A honest question, is it confirmed that stoneskin will be removed from WHM/CNJ's skillset though? Cause currently even though stoneskin is a cross-class skill but we still get to keep it as a WHM skill. I know the re-worked skills are probably a goner, but stoneskin as well? Please go easy on me as I haven't been keeping up with the news.

Stoneskin is completely gone from the game. They could have let WHM keep it. But, you know, why do anything nice for them.

As a tank, no Stoneskin is going to be weird. I feel like I'm going to be standing there, waiting for Stoneskin, for a couple moments just to remember I don't need to anymore.

Stoneskin was actually used a lot by my group in POTD, put it on people with pox, for past floor 150 and we saved the purify for tanks/healers, We've made it to 198 without issue.

Don't see me playing healer anymore in 4.0. Used stone skin a lot in potd to stop ones from loosing health from pox. After these change's my main won't be a healer class anymore.

Stoneskin was far from a waste of a spell. It was beautiful for cases when players had healing reduction on them (Ramuh, Sohm Al HM second boss, even Hydra back in the early days) or other cases when direct healing was a bad idea (Leviathan EX, when the stacks build too high). Other healers' shields have a healing component that reduces their effectiveness for these purposes.

As was mentioned, it could preserve weakened folks from being one-shot by high-damage mechanics in some raids and trials - sure, in this case, other healers' shields do the job, but Stoneskin stacked with them for an even thicker layer of protection.

Yeah, losing Stoneskin is a pretty big deal, and the lily-powered replacement WHM got is such a ridiculous joke that it's nothing short of a slap in the face.

Honestly, though, I'm going to miss it most on PLD. Spells like Protect and Stoneskin really helped me feel like a "support tank", and I've definitely saved a few raids and trials using them.

I always felt stoneskin fell very short on whm in comparison to other healer shields and always wished theyd give whm a similar shield utility....but alas, they insist on whm being pure healing.... I'm happy personally to see it go, esp with stoneskin happy tanks (i loved the one tank that kept doing it to me in DS at the wrong moments....I was DRK..... *facepalm*), but aside from that... *shrug* I don't see it as a huge loss to anything but whm. I feel a bit shorted on whm. which is a shame, but I will adjust accordingly.
