Yeah, I'd like this. Loved it in FF9, and it was pretty great in FF11, too.

It better come with the Hawaiian gear! <_<
I spent way too much time on that in IX. XD
blitzball first

This, is the only minigame I care about coming back in some form. I support the idea of more minigames in general of course, but I'd rather have Blitzball than a treasure hunt minigame. Those can be fun of course, but I tend to find them a bit more tedious than entertaining.....

The one from IX? Count me in. I loved that minigame almost as much as Triple Triad.
I never play FFIX. But, I looked video.
Seem to interested, if this game in FFXIV...hope don't come annoying :P

For those who've played WoW it would be a bit analogous to the Archaeology mini-game/profession (not suggesting WoW made it first, just a functioning popular example that is mechanically similar-ish). Except Chocobos would make FFXIV's version much cuter :P
While they should be very careful to make it smooth, relaxing, and not overly complicated, I wouldn't mind it related into breeding/abilities. Just so long as it doesn't become some sort of face the east, 300 times a day, 500K in greens, if the moon is out, it's raining, you have three FC on two different characters, and you've completed ARR and SB but not HW, then you can get this next item~! HF!!! yeh no lol. Approach-ability and relaxing good chocobo fun is important here (but I'm just saying tier/growth, or like in WoW they have parts/lore elements in it, also would be nice, like in FFIX it did have connection to chocobo feather colors and where you could go, also leading towards new chocobo areas).

Will reply to this thread with something read in one of the recent interviews, when the interviewer asked if we would eventually make our way to the southern isles this expac Yoshi said there is a hidden island we may visit if we are lucky enough. Draw conclusions as you may. Also FF9's version of hot and cold was vastly superior to that flop that was the mini game in FF11, visiting the chocobo forests and digging up chocographs which you could hunt down in the world map was very fun and completely in the spirit of ffxiv. As was Collecting Stellazio for the rich woman in Treno, and collecting Frogs in the Q marshes, I wouldn't mind ultra powerful items being introduced via that content and it would call people back into the world. Take RNG out and there is much more fun to be had.
