They indeed can. Now all we need is an RNG based tank and together we can make groups that either succeed or fail spectacularly.
make confession stacks be able to go on enemies based on all damaging spells at some %chance expending them does a like 150 300 450 potency hit make regen and medica 2 generate them on allies at some%chance expending them gives a dmg crit or that new dire hit increase i guess go with whatever one the other healers cant do make lillies based off all healing at probably a lower chance of course

This isn't actually true :x
WHM dominated for Gordias and Midas most groups wouldn't take AST since their healing and DPS was too low. So failure to solo heal well made the SCH unable to DPS as much and the WHM + SCH pair had MND buff for more healing and more DPS AND WHM did more DPS than an AST with more powerful HoTs.
It wasn't until Alexander Creator when AST became more popular. Since they fixed their abilities and their potencies and sufficient time passed for the community to start accepting them more often.
So technically WHM was preferred for 2/3 of the raids in HW then AST was for 1/3 of the raids when they buffed them for Creator.
AST was shunned out of most groups for Gordias and Midas. I know since I tried to play AST at beginning of HW and ended up being forced to switch to WHM to do savage. AST was a bit more accepted in Midas, but I saw groups unwilling to take them quite often still.
2/3 Raids WHM wasn't really as bad off as AST actually...AST got worse screwed in HW for sure sitting at 1/3 raids they were majority accepted for.
As for 4.0...WHM isn't looking too good atm though :/ I actually love their new AF armor too >< so I was considering playing it...I still will but I don't know about the RNG on Cure Lilly thing, but I am gonna try it before I judge personally. Thin Air looks amazing for DPS though...and Stone IV hits way harder than Malefic III
