Choosing a main for Stormblood

My original thoughts a week ago was...

RDM -> AST -> SCH/SMN -> MCH -> BLM

now it's...

RDM -> AST -> BRD -> BLM -> MCH

After seeing the skills and changes I'm going to see how my NIN and SMN play now... if they don't grab me like they used to I may main SAM... just wish the skill names for SAM were a little more Anglo friendly lol

I am the opposite.

I love when classes like Ninja and Samurai do not get their skills translated.

I was a MNK main but with the changes made, I'll be hard pressed to continue that. The changes don't feel like it's worth the effort. I may go SAM or DRG main. Never been a fan of NIN personally.

RDM all the way, though PLD and DRG will most likely still be keeping up with secondary gear as I had been doing with HW.

For me...I really don't like how the Changes to the healers sound like (except the crazy buffed Astro)
I fear that its going to be veeeery boring to play as a healer.
But! I will Lvl SCH first.
I just love this class! And I love to be a healer. I'm still hopeing that these Changes just SOUND horrible. Bit if it turns out that the Healerjob is now designed to be boring as hell.....then....no I don't even want to think about....

I'm sticking with MCH as my main. I've been playing it since day one of early access for HW, and I won't be satisfied with playing other classes again until I have built a solid rotation and gotten used to the new skill set for it. The changes to it pretty much rewrite how to play the class aside from the basics and the over all concept, so it'll definitely be interesting to see what I can come up with as my new rotation, particularly at 70. Even from just the details we know right now I have at least the general idea planned out for my level 70 rotation, but getting to test it out will help me fine tune it, and I enjoy that sort of thing.....

Healer: AST (Main Main) 2nd job/character i lvled in HW, been attached to it ever since. Ya I loved it when people thought it was weak.
Melee: SAM Im hoping this is finally the melee that fits me. Looks fun to me so far.
Tank: PLD I was pretty unsure of what my first tank was gunna be for SB then Passage of Arms happened, discussion over.
Ranged: BLM/BRD/RDM this one is still pretty up in the air, BLM will get to 70 first and BRD is pretty far back on my lvling list just because inventory space, but well see how it pans out by the time fall is in full swing.

But the full plan by role...
AST 1 > WHM 5 > SCH 11
PLD 3 > WAR 6 > DRK 10
SAM 2 > DRG 7 > MNK 9 > NIN 13
BLM 4 > RDM 8 > SMN 11 > BRD 12 > MCH 14

In the end tho outside of the first 4 lots could change, but id say at least the order within the roles is pretty solid just the overall might move around a bit.
