It is necessary make such drama from this? If the WHM is not good, it will be fixed patch after patch. Do you think this is even the definitive jobs? Heavensward patched almost ll classes in the few weeks after launch. What you will think will happen on Stormblood? The same. If WHm is bad, they will patch it, or maybe nerf the other ones, who knows.

They just have to overreact, something to do until 4.0. People have a difficult time with this and being told something other than what they want to hear..and this is how they break down.

Why are you going to call out a job to be removed from the game if you don't even touch it?

Nope, fun fact #8: A crap player will stand in the same amount of shi$t playing AST as they will playing WHM. Job stones doesn't make a player care or react better.

But pointing this all back at myself, I'm feeding the chicken because I keep coming back on here during the day to find useful information like that one person who put up that 19 page summoner "lets clear the air" document and get some stuff right.

A fair amount of it is kneejerk reactions to changes that are being read out of context.

It's hysterical that people are claiming that white mage is dead/not viable when the only thing they are basing this off of is pure speculation. The expansion isn't out yet, 4.0 isn't even out yet. FFXIV doesnt have PTRs for testing jobs so no one has any kind of proof about the state white mage will be in.

Come on guys, even today, on the very normal party finder, it's pretty common to see the creators of the groups to block WHM slots and leave only SCH/AST open, it happens quite often, also, have you seen PFs with AST blocked? I don't think so...
So now that the different is soooooo high (much bigger than it is at moment) to the point where there is really no reason to play WHM, almost whatever WHM can do AST can do equal or better (I sais almost, not everything), and this thing still has balance, then you can already imagine the difficult for WHM player to find a very common static, let alone SHC or HC groups, in those groups WHM is around 99% extinct, and I doubt anyone here will say the opposite...

I don't really see it that often as no content requires AST/SCH. I haven't seen PFs with AST blocked because why block any job? You need a healer, get a healer.

Joining a static is a very different beast in and of itself. If you join a static, be it common, but especially hardcore groups, you should be prepared to learn and play whatever job is needed in that static. Some statics will undoubtedly take WHMs into content and that's fine. Some statics will want to have the extra utility of AST and SCH and that's fine too. I started this game as a MNK with 0 desire to learn to tank. I main WAR now because my FC static needed an off tank for Twintania.

Maybe it is that entlited attitude of exclude people what is wrong and not the job. Maybe we need fix that attitude. My static have a Monk and White Mage. We didn't have any problem.

At moment, I also think that WHM, except for balance, can do as good as an AST, but I'm taking in consideration the new skill and the skills abilities of the new two classes, they are basically worlds apart. =(

The players don't invent a meta, they merely discover it. The devs unwittingly create the meta with the way they design things.

Thus, if a meta is undesirable, the only ones you can blame are the devs. They were the ones to create it, they are in charge of demolishing it. The players just follow it.
