If there is a situation where it would be called for a major NPC to be revealed as LGBT, then hey, go for it. I just don't see such a situation cropping up in the middle of two or three different wars, you know? It'd be one thing if we had a patch wherein the Syndicate decided its time for the Sultana to get married and she rejects all the suitors because she prefers women, I suppose, but if SE decided to just randomly introduce a new Scion like Moenbryda or Krile and they just go, "Oh, and I'm gay," it just doesn't have any kind of bearing on the story. The best SE could do would be to have such a character accompanied by their husband/wife/bonded, cause then its not really about their sexuality as its about two new characters who just happen to be in a pre-existing relationship.

But I wouldn't trust SE not to make it cringe-worthy if one or the other got injured. Big bawling tears at the bedside and all, no thank you.

I think it would be great for SE to include an LGBTQ+ character, but at the same time, I think it is treading dangerous waters when you say they should include one.

It is their story, and stifling creativity for the sake of being superficially inclusive feels bad on a number of levels.

That being said, we did have at least one sexually ambiguous character by way of Haurchefant.

This thread reminds me of a recent Xelphatol run I had. The tank went to explain the mechanics of the second boss, and he said he... I said it's a she actually. Cue the "OMG its 2017 did I just assume its gender" I laughed so hard.

I think the character you're talking about is not from Hydaelyn, neither his familly.

The only gender assumption that makes me cringe is for Cloud of Darkness, this is probably one of the only char that is made to be genderless. Guess why they speak only using "we".
