You have a few fantastic points, that really are important for me.![]()
This is my main things though:
While all are accurate, MH/OH is a main one for me personally. I have zero trust in OTHER healers in the 24m raids. This has been reinforced by having pug groups where I get those Sch who never cast an Aldo and is in Clerics 100% of the time, even when I've died to something or have no mp and they're still doing damage. When I get paired with a second Ast, its much the same; or they overwrite my aoe balance with an aoe arrow and after the third or fourth time I pretend I'm a crappy Sch or crappy whm and ignore cards altogether while I heal and they dps and card everyone. Most of the time when I'm paired with whm, they at least get Medica II on everyone at least once before they go dps mode.
I'm ok playing MH, prefer it actually having learned healing in mmos where healers only did damage outside of group play or when there was literately nothing to be done otherwise. I also preform what I call "Raid-Heals" in which I'm also trying to keep alive the other 2 tanks, the other 4 healers and tossing hots on the dps if they drop below ~30%.
Outside of that, though I do dps but I hate clerics with a passion. I'll dot out of clerics 90% of the time but will switch on boss fights if I think the party can survive it long enough. I've complained about the Damage being Int since I started at ARR pre-launch. I'm so hyped for SB and the MND change (I'm guessing it will be a 2 or 3 to 1 dmg formula where I assume SMN/BLM is a 1 to 1. to keep healer dps still on a good level) but Cleric buff could be really thrilling--if it keeps the Heal potency drop I'll still probably only use it on bosses but if that's removed? I will be one ecstatic healer that can dps without CLERIC STANCE HEALS because that only happens 1-2 times EVERY time I pop clerics in a dungeon run.
