I can't wait to kill people with it, and cut the rotation of monks and lolgoons.

It's going to be crazily useful during pvp - all those heavied dps caught just too deep now get instantly dragged back. Result!
I'd just like a simple option somewhere in the gameplay menu:
[ ] Allow Rescue for no-one
[ ] Allow Rescue for players on your friend list
[ ] Allow Rescue for everyone
And just for the lulz, when a healer tries to use the skill on someone who does not allow it, display the error message:
"This player is beyond Rescue."
Simple solution right there. Alternately, only allow the usage on players that are currently within an AoE indicator. But I'd rather not even get pulled then, personally. Pushbacks and draw-ins are obnoxious regardless of source and intention.
So many people are worried about this being abused... but rest assured it will be very infrequent that somebody does abuse it. Anyhow, to lighten the mood, here is a joke!
Three healers walk into a bar and stand next to a Lalafel called "My Chain".
Then they start to "Rescue" this poor Lala around the room.
The Bartender stands up and shouts, "Will you stop pulling My Chain around?!"
bada bump /giggle
I'm going to macro this spell with an ASCII image of the Kappa emote, so whenever I use it I can giggle XD. White Mages are Grief Mages.

I didn't see the live letter, but from how you described it. Technically everyone has some degree of aggro the minute they smacked a monster. So its kinda open ended unless they confirmed that it only works on the person with the highest aggro. Which I'm hoping isn't the case cos I'm sitting here wondering now if I can use it to pull someone to me that might have otherwise died from falling out of the ring on certain fights.
At least Rescue will not be a useless spell.
"But please. Call me Bae."
The White Witch of Okami Rojo.
Why are there so many people in this thread who want to kill people with Rescue.
My point is already proven without stormblood even launching yet
Because it's a game and it's fun to mess with your friends sometimes ? (depending of the situation and the players of course)
I already warned my guildmates, they are gonna be my new blizzball, especially when we are on no brain mode to farm some ponies or birds![]()
Ninjas have been able to troll parties with Shadewalker since 3.0 but you rarely see it. So yea, I don't see it being abused too much.
I can see it being used at organised endgame to minimize BLM movement, the healer effectively doing the mechanic for them with Rescue.
Although, the temptation to "rescue" the tank to the rest of the party half way through a Punishing Heat cast is very strong.
