Thanks for the tips guys, I am going soloing tonight.

It might not be imposible after all.
I am (was?) lv 40 THM, went to farm Diremite Web near Nophica's Wells. The mobs are around 35-37 and I was able to kille them in 3 shots (all of them at the same time, felt so good).
Exp gained? Around 30k in 1 hour or so. And remember, this is without chains. So 50k-60k with chains doesn't sound that crazy.

As a Gladiator, I can't fathom being able to solo in the early 30's and get the 50~80k.
But I think pterocs and antelopes are gonna be in for a stabbity-stab-stabbing treat tonight!
Lv32 PGL, just for kicks killing the same Wights I was on my 32THM as stated in the OP. I got 449 EXP per kill, and after 4 kills in 5 minutes = 1,796 x12 = 21k.

What mobs and where were you killing on your 30ish PGL?DoW shouldn't be able to do nearly as much multi-target damage. In every MMO casters are always more powerful. They trade it off for being glass cannons. 30+ if you want great XP then party, it goes a lot faster. Solo content, Leves and Behest are for casual players, you will never see the XP that AoE grinding or a party gets.
@30 ish on my Pug I was easily hitting 50k SP pear hour and that was before it got better with 1.19 link and chain bonuses. And you are using pathing glitches to accomplish what you are on your THM "Bottlenecking/deagro".
For your PUG make sure you are using your counters non stop and 2x for every miss and it will speed up a lot. Don't save your TP just counter with Jarring Strike and Haymaker twice every time.
The key to DoW from what I have found is knowing what to do and when to do it. With DoM right now you barely have to know what you are doing, find a AoE rotation and stick to it.
Deaggro is not a glitch, it's a game mechanic. Bottlenecking is a tactic to keep from being absolutely destroyed in milliseconds by a large group of mobs you wouldn't otherwise. You try going into Mun Tuy and doing "AoE rotations" on 10 skeletons at the same time and see how long you get into your second cast lol.

It's a game mechanic that may be subject to further adjustment. If it is used in this fashion, SE may be on the path to either make the enemy immune during the deaggro phase or recover large quantities of health. What mobs and where were you killing on your 30ish PGL?

It sounds to me like they're taking advantage of leashing to minimize damage taken while maximizing damage output, so you can kill swarms of skellies in a few casts with little danger of dying.
